Neighbourhood Plan – VOTE

Stanstead Abbotts and Stanstead St Margarets Neighbourhood Plan

After many years of hard work by the Neighbourhood Plan Group, parish councils, and local residents, the Neighbourhood Plan has reached its final stage, a Referendum to be held on:

Thursday 29th January
Voting from 7am to 10pm

Everyone living within the Neighbourhood Plan area will have the opportunity to vote and should have received a polling card through their letterbox. Your polling station details will be listed on the card.

The Neighbourhood Plan aims to:

• Protect the villages from unplanned and inappropriate development
• Set out important policies for the area’s future
• Allocate land for new housing in a managed and sustainable way

Applications for an emergency proxy vote must be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 29th (contact East Herts Council using the details above).
