Mission Statement
Webster Estates Ltd is the company running the property portfolio that has provided a local home to the lighting business founded by David Webster. The company continues to be run in accordance with the Webster family values of conservation and heritage as well as involvement with local projects.
- Repurposing of the former David Webster Lighting site in Netherfield Lane for good quality housing, with subject to viability a high level of affordable housing whilst retaining some employment use on the site.
- Working with the Baesh Charitable Trust to resolve parking issues for the Almshouses, and to provide land for the Trust to build further affordable accommodation.
- Favouring a landscape led development to provide plenty of green open spaces, additional trees and natural habitats.
- Supporting EV charging initiatives and encouraging the use of renewables and low carbon initiatives.
- Supporting the Local Parish Council (LPC) with the submission of our site and land for release from the green belt so as to enable the LPC to fulfil their requirement to deliver a workable Neighbourhood Plan.
- Addressing local concerns by designing a scheme that benefits the rural nature of the site, and the edge of village location.
- Working with local residents and our neighbours to address the flooding issues of Netherfield Lane.
- Providing a showcase development that leaves a positive legacy in the memory of David Webster.
